We have a range of opportunities, ranging from short studentships to PhD positions. We are also always welcome to inquiries from independently funded researchers (such as McKenzie Fellows).

PhD studentships
We currently have no open PhD positions with funding attached. However, we may be able to take you on if you are able to secure your own funding.
Masters projects
We aim to take on one or two Masters students every year, as part of the University of Melbourne Master of Science programme. For more information about the course structure, see the course website.
Previous Masters projects in our group have included the design of a beamline for charged particle therapy, and analysis of real data from high-gradient accelerator systems. See here for further information about our current projects.
Undergraduate research
The School of Physics supports Undergraduate student research projects during the summer and winter break through the Laby Research Scholars Programme. We usually host one or two student projects through this scheme.
We are also able to supervise Undergraduate projects through the SCIE30001 Science Research Project option.
