Aim
To demonstrate the large amplitude oscillations of a body at resonance.
Apparatus
- PASCO TM Motor Driven Oscillator
Description
The apparatus consists of a spring connected via a light string to a motor driven oscillator. At resonance the amplitude increases uncontrollably. It is also possible to observe the phase relationship between the driving force and the spring as the system passes through resonance.
