Oa-3 Ray Tracing
Aim
To demonstrate ray tracing through various optical elements including lenses, mirrors and prisms.

Description
The optical component is set up within the smoke box and a smoke machine is used to fill it up. It has been found best to blow air into the smoke box to thin the smoke so that rays can be seen through entire length of the smoke box to produce brilliant scattering. The phenomena of convergence and divergence of the parallel laser beams can be observed of convex and concave lenses, respectively. The optical components can be move along rail for further investigation.
