Ha-2 The Thermopile
Aim
To demonstrate the production of a thermoelectric emf.
Apparatus
- Copper - Iron thermopile
- Galvanometer
- Hair drier
Description
The thermopile consists of four Iron and four Copper wires twisted to form seven junctions. The end terminals connect to the galvanometer. A hand held hair drier is a suitable source of heat.
