Hc-8 Infrared Radiation
Aim
To demonstrate that electromagnetic radiation extends beyond the visible into the infrared and its equivalence with heat radiation.

Infrared Radiation Setup.
Description
A normal colour spectrum is produced with the aid of the slit and slide projector and the prism. Rotating the prism will bring different sections of the spectrum into the entrance pupil of the thermopile. Maximum reading is obtained just passed the red end of the spectrum. This experiment requires that the infrared filter is removed from the slide projector. NB. plastic slides will melt.
