- Galvanometer
- Thermal IR Camera
Leslie's Cube Apparatus and Thermal Imaging.
Description
Two versions are available. A brass container coated on half of one surface with a matte black paint and highly polished on the other. Hot water is placed inside the cube and each surface presented in turn, at the same distance to a thermopile. Alternatively, PASCO'S Apparatus consists of a cube internally heated by a temperature controlled light globe with black, white, shiny and matte surfaces. Leslies cube may be placed on a turntable so that alternate faces emit radiation to a sensor. The experiment shows that the radiant heat is greater from the black surface.
